Better home DIY

I have recently been considering selling my house and as with all subjects similar to this have been attempting to find out what the best path to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or remain in it for a bit longer. I began by looking at various rooms in the house and considering what I might do to better them and iron out the issues I might have had about them.

The heart of my house is the kitchen so I began by looking at the kitchen layout, we have a fitted kitchen which works quite well with a useful work space (fortunately I spoke to a local kitchen company about kitchen planning before purchasing). The floor was a bit of an issue with just lino down which had got a little ripped up as I had shoved washing machines and fridges about in it. I got some tiling advice from a near by company to get the floor tiles that would work in with the kitchen units without making the room appear to dark (just a few of the little things you need to consider when you come to sell your house, first impressions need to be just right within the short time people have to view your house).

The next room I wanted to ensure was working was the bathroom, my bathroom layout was a little small because of some fitted cupboards which once removed gave me a lot more space (which if you are going on initial view could help sell my house). Once again I went down to the area tiler for some useful tiling advice and used big light tiles which seemed to open the space in the bathroom, just one of the many things to be considering when purchasing bathroom tiles.

I then went through the house and painted with a neutral light colour which drew the rooms out and provided the whole house with a new look. I then stripped out as much stuff as I could and boxed everything that wasn’t necessary away in the garage. Finished result, a house that I wanted to stay in, but after just a few viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some serious interest, so heres hoping ill be able to sell my house soon.
